The 3rd Helicopter Squadron in Ronneby is looking for an aircraft maintenance technician for the Aircraft Maintenance Platoon.
About the unit:
The 3rd Helicopter Squadron operates at Blekinge Air Force Wing in Ronneby. We are one of four squadrons and belong to the Helicopter Wing in Linköping. At the squadron in Ronneby, we have about 190 employees. Our unit is housed in modern facilities where the entire squadron is gathered in a common building. Our development and growth provide many opportunities for you as an employee. The squadron's mission is primarily focused on maritime operations, which involves close cooperation with the Navy.
About the position:
The aircraft maintenance technician in the Aircraft Maintenance Platoon has the primary task of ensuring that the tools and other airworthiness-affecting equipment used in helicopter maintenance are operational.
The Aircraft Maintenance Platoon also manages the other equipment and base materials of the Aircraft Maintenance Company, such as starting units, air conditioning units, containers, lifting trolleys, fire extinguishers, vehicles, and accommodation materials. The platoon also supports the company and the squadron as a whole in general logistical matters.
Job responsibilities:
- Maintenance monitoring of tools, units, and other equipment.
- Record keeping and follow-up in the PRIO (SAP), FENIX systems.
- Supervision and position training of conscripts and GSS.
- Physical handling of supplies.
- Service with loaders, heavy trucks, container trucks, forklifts, off-road vehicles, etc.
- Participation in exercise and operational activities.
- Resolving readiness tasks.
- Maintaining soldier skills and general military skills.
- Regular physical training/sports.
- Development of own function and own combat unit.
As an aircraft maintenance technician, you play an important role far up the “chain,” close to the squadron's operational components, i.e., the helicopters.
The job responsibilities must be solved both at home and “out in the woods and fields,” in peace, crisis, and war, within or outside Sweden.
Qualifications:
- Specialist officer training.
- Swedish driver's license at least category B, manual transmission.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
- Good knowledge of English in speech and writing.
- Experience of similar tasks and/or relevant education for the position applied for.
- Meet the physical requirements of the position (fitness, strength, etc.).
Desirable qualifications:
- Experience in material service.
- Experience in logistics service.
- Driver's license category BE, or C, or CE.
- Forklift license category A, B, C, or D.
- Military driver's license Tlb, Tslp, Minibus, Tptgb, Lptgb, Wheel loader, Telehandler, Tow truck, Crane, Lift table / Tail lift, Off-road driving, FMFG1000.
- Experience with the above-mentioned vehicle types, beyond what is obtained through training.
- Experience with the PRIO (SAP) and/or FENIX data systems.
- Aviation or helicopter technician category A or B.
